Scrap Metal & Appliances

Appliances, or white goods, are accepted for recycling at the Transfer Station from any Centre County resident for no charge.

We will accept the following items:
 - Air conditioners and dehumidifiers
 - Clothes washing and drying machines
 - Dish washers
 - Metal pots and pans
 - Furnaces and electrical heaters
 - Water heaters
 - Refrigerators and freezers
 - Stoves, ovens, microwaves
 - Helium tanks

We will NOT accept the following items:
 - Sealed units (propane bottles)
 - Medical lab & hospital scrap machinery
 - Gasoline & fuel tanks
 - Drums, barrels, paint cans and tar buckets
 - Pipe or boilers wrapped in insulation
 - Lighting fixtures
 - Any scrap material containing hazardous waste material
